Republic of Loose announce more Special Guests for their 3rd Academy show
Republic of Loose played the second gig of their month long residency at the Academy last Friday, bringing the house down with a two hour set of classics and new songs. For the encore the Loose were joined onstage by a string section led by Cora Venus Lunny to perform two songs with renowned Opera singer Judith Mok. Then it was the turn of the legend that is Damien Dempsey. Delighting the already ecstatic crowd Damo led the Loose through a breathtaking version of his haunting ballad ‘Bad Time Garda’ and finished with a mind-blowing take on Thin Lizzy’s classic ‘Dancin’ in the Moonlight’ .
This week the Loose have lined up an eclectic collection of guests who will join the already confirmed ‘The Cades’ and ‘The Millionaire Boyz’ at The Academy. Special guests on the night will include The Dirty Brass Horns with more guests to be announced.
Republic of Loose are shooting the video for their next single ‘The Steady Song’ at their two remaining Academy Shows on April 18th and 25th. If you’re coming to the gig, bring your digital cameras and camera phones and shoot the show.
